The recent deployment of Mahalo Banking’s Thoughtful Banking platform by two US credit unions marks a significant enhancement in their digital banking services. Rocky Mountain Credit Union (RMCU), serving approximately 25,000 members in Montana, and UnitedOne Credit Union, catering to 20,000 members in Wisconsin, have both deepened their partnerships with Mahalo to introduce this advanced platform. These strategic decisions by the credit unions highlight their commitment to enhancing digital banking facilities and ensuring accessibility for all their members.

RMCU transitioned from Bluepoint Solutions, which merged with Alogent Corporation in 2016, to Mahalo’s platform, aiming to provide better digital offerings for its members. The move underscores the credit union’s dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology in order to deliver superior service. Meanwhile, UnitedOne Credit Union, with roots tracing back to the 2002 merger of Manitowoc Community Credit Union and First Superior Credit Union, finds the Mahalo platform’s inclusivity appealing. UnitedOne operates in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties, an area where member convenience and accessibility are crucial.

Mahalo’s Thoughtful Banking solution stands out for its innovative and inclusive design that includes neurodiverse functionality. The platform features dyslexia-friendly fonts, a left-handed toggle mode, and customizable interface color schemes, making it easier for all members to navigate and use the digital banking services. This focus on user experience and accessibility earned Mahalo the Best in Show title at FinovateFall last year. The move reflects a broader industry trend towards using technology to create more inclusive and customer-friendly digital banking experiences.
